My art is inspired by my love of paintings by the old masters - Especially artists from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries.

In my 20's I spent a lot of time in France and for a time worked as an unofficial tour guide in Paris. This meant that I visited the art galleries of Paris on most days.

I was always fascinated by the detail that these great painters could achieve. The figures in the paintings were painted with great detail and I loved how they used light and shadow to create form.

With my art I try to convey my love of the shapes that the human form can create.
